In Ecuador, we have a saying for when a person is injured, physically or emotionally; one comforts by saying, “shungo shungo”, translating to ‘it will heal’. Shungu is the word for ‘heart’ in quichua.
In Shungo, we work towards the rebuilding of the social fabric through a holistic and interseccional lens. Our approach on collective transformation involves the participation of a diversity of women, along with that of our native communities and their environments, all in an effort to transform personal, collective, and economic life.
We join forces to rebuild the social fabric through the political formation of communities’ leaders, guidance for sustainable entrepreneurs, as well as private consultancies—all through rooted in gender equality.
Spaces geared towards the profound understanding of our inner worlds through the interpretation of dreams and other creative, therapeutic techniques.
Development of conscious policy through participative methodologies for the autonomy, prosperity, and prosperity of people and their collective and communal spaces.
Stimulate sustainable entrepreneurship with a focus on gender equality, working towards the creation of care networks within a circular economy.
Consultancy for private organizations, which incorporates focus on gender to optimize economic and environmental resources within private corporations, local governments and allied organizations.
We have convened to work from a place of individual healing towards a collective transformation.
Get to know us and why we believe in our world’s future.
I am a mestiza woman and holistic feminist with extensive experience in the politics of gender violence prevention, as well as in the development for strategies to curb inequality.
Get to know me.
I am a mestiza woman and holistic feminist with extensive experience in the politics of gender violence prevention, as well as in the development for strategies to curb inequality.
I am part of a wonderful team, rooted in our creative potential to co-create both communal and personal ways of life that harness the political power of healing. I accompany people’s growth processes and offer guidance to individuals who look to explore their inner selves through the interpretation of dreams.
Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, cooking, meditating, playing board games and making music.
In Ecuador, when we need help to overcome a challenge, we turn to the people closest to us in an effort to solidify the practice of solidarity. In quichua, ‘randi-randi’ translates to ‘give, give’ in order to receive.
We count on you and your organization to promote our projects. We walk from individual healing to collective transformation.
